Best griddle-style burger I've had
Hi everyone, I'm a longtime lurker, I figured I'd contribute finally.
We were on the way to the Presidio last weekend and stopped in at Roam after reading this glowing review on Hamblogger:
Our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. I ordered a cheeseburger, my wife ordered the burger with swiss and mushrooms. This is a griddle-style burger that's about as good as it gets. I could go down through all the particulars (fresh ingredients - I've never had pickles (!) as good as this, excellent quality beef, tasty bun), but the finished product, the all-around experience, was superb.
The vanilla milkshake with toasted marshmellows on top was excellent as well. I didn't have the fries this time but I plan to next time I go.
And I feel like it was a pretty good deal - $6 for a great cheeseburger and $8 for a fancy burger compare favorably to the $10-12 burgers you find around this town at inferior places.
Mainly I'm curious what other chowhound burger lovers think of this place - please go and report back!
