Pacific Soups

Perhaps I missed something on this, but I checked today and Pacific Soups (not ones with meat/ chicken) have a chaf-k on them! Even more exciting is that while some of them are pareve (eg the delicious cashew carrot and ginger soup i tried today) the creamy soups are dairy (hopefully meaning they use real cream!), unlike their Imagine counterparts.

How are the prices and taste compared to Imagine?

IMHO the taste is really good; I have only tried one soup so far though. Price-wise I think they are slighly (0.50-0.75) more expensive than Imagine. The difference that really made it for me was the quantity of flavors I saw on offer and the fact that they come in many different sizes- Pacific sells their soups in either the Imagine size carton, or a carton half the size OR you can get a case of 4 small ones, which I can see being perfect double wrapped at work in the winter.

        1. There is a warning on the label not to put them in the microwave.
        2. My kids didn't like the spicy black bean and they usually like spicy foods.
        3. Trader Joe's has them well priced.

These have been kosher for a while.. at least Fairway had them with a chaf-k. I tried several of the soups, but I really liked the mushroom and vegetable broths.

I saw a display of these in Wegman's the other day.. and none of the soups or broths had any hechsher at all... I wonder why

I don't know what it is.. I'm going to be at a different Wegman's on Sunday and I'll look there. They could have had an old supply.. but every time I'm in the store I always see the cartons in people's shopping carts. I've been buying them from Fairway with a hechsher for about a year or so.

FYI Trader Joe's has some soups and veggie broth with a hechsher.. usually they're less expensive than the Pacific brand

Costco here also has some brand of tomato soup that is kosher, but since my family doesn't like it I don't know any more than that.
