Best lobster roll in Hamptons/Montauk

My apologies if this is an incredibly common request. My Minnesotan husband and I are visiting my parents in the Hamptons and husband is seriously craving a lobster roll. We obviously know about Lunch, but my parents are convinced it's not the best out there. We'll be going for lunch and have a toddler with us, so outside and not extremely fancy would be perfect.

Thank you!

  1. My favorite (don't want to say "best" and start a war!) is Perry B Duryea and Son in Montauk, and the view is a big bonus. You're outside on a big deck looking out on Gardiners Bay (sunset is unbelievable), no waitresses/ you get your own tray, so fits all your criteria.

Here's a peek http://www.duryealobsters.com/ Don't let the prices shock you, they're average for this area.

      1. Canal Cafe in Hampton bays has the best lobster roll outside of Maine I.M.H.O..
Nice size sammich and it's on fabulous foccaccia bread not a hot dog roll. Nice big chunks of lobster meat and not too much mayo. I'm a big guy and I can only eat half.
We've been to "LUNCH" on the Napeague strip and Lobster Roll North which is close to home. Neither place ever wowed me. I can't put my finger on it but they are just not special. The lobster roll is filled with lobster "salad", as in, pulverized lobster. We like chunky! This August they "ran out" of corn on the cob to serve with dinner. You could walk to three local farmstands from the restaurant and pick up a couple of dozen ears of the best corn money can buy. YIKES!!
