where to eat in vegas? bf is not foodie and picky

Where is the good local food, tasty and cheap. We can travel to the "outskirts", no fancy jacket and tie joints.

What buffets are decent for the price. Haven't been to LV for a few years. Last time Wynn was ok, Bellagio was bad, Rio was good for the price, Planet Hollywood was a mess.

All cuisines are ok. No chain places we can eat in Cali please.

any tips for downtown Fremont area?

Thanks guys!

  1. The Studio B buffet at the M Resort in Henerson is popular with locals. Good preparation and all you can drink beer, wine, espresso and cappucino included. Sunday night is seafood buffet night.
Downtown the buffet at the Main Street casino is inexpensive and a wide selection of foods.consistently voted Best Buffet Downtown. I'll be hitting up both this Labor Day weekend.

Sam's Town has a pretty good buffet that's popular with the locals.

      Second Studio B as well.

For a different style of Pizza:

M & M Sould Food on West Charelston? Different if you like deep fried food.

Good calls on Studio B @ The M, Main St. Casino & Sam's Town, monku. Right off the Strip on W. Flamingo, The Palms was still laying out a good buffet the last time I went there. If you happen to make it out to the W. Valley, The Rampart Casino also puts out an excellent buffet in a casino that a lot of people don't even know exists. They don't have the wide selction like some of the "monster buffets", but they consistently put out quality for the price IMHO.

Red Rock also has a nice buffet. It's gonna be a bit more than Rampart up the street. I like the Suncoast buffet for it's Mongolian wok station. Both the Gold Coast and Orleans have it also.

FYI, M resort has 2 for 1 deals for their buffet if you sign up for their email list.

      2. How about Lindo Michoacan! My husband and I ordered guacamole at the table, 2 apetizers, 2 entrees and dessert plus a bunch of 4 or 5 fish bowl size Margaritas and the bill came to maybe $80. The guacamole was made right in front of you to order at the table, the Mole was AMAZING, yummy. Great for a foodie or a guy who just wants a taco. Off the strip and very highly rated by the locals. I'll be going back on my next trip!
