Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Boston (and suburbs)

Dinner and breakfast near Westin Copley Place?

I'll be in town for one night on business, and would appreciate some suggestions for when the work day is done. Need recommendations for dinner within walking distance (1 mile or less) of the Westin Copley Place (10 Huntington Ave) for a week night. Prefer somewhere with a good wine list - looks like Troquet might be a possibility? I looked at their menu on line and wasn't overwhelmed, but it seems to get a lot of love on this board. Another option is Asian - is there really excellent Chinese within walking distance? Also any recommendation for a place for a night-cap or pre-dinner drink is appreciated.

I'd also appreciate breakfast recommendations for a weekday breakfast before I leave town. Is Charlie's Sandwich Shop the best breakfast recommendation close to the hotel? The most important criteria to me is excellent food for both meals. Thanks in advance!

  1. In my opinion, nothing matches Troquet for wine in Boston. That is where I would buy my night cap.

You can easily walk to Chinatown where there are a plethora of choices and even to Sichuan Gourmet in Brookline.

    1. Yes Charlie's is the place to go for breakfast.

      1. Consider Mike & Patty's in Bay Village for breakfast: http://www.mikeandpattys.com/

Do you like Mike & Patty's better than Charlies? If so, could you tell me why? Thanks!
