Has they opened yet will be in brookline this weekend looking for something new hows the food at washington square with new chef also is regal beagle have long waits on a sat night?

    I don't know when the Abbey is planning to open. No signs up on Sunday as to an opening date. I wonder if you can make a res @ RB? Give it a try. The area is a zoo now, and will continue thru the w/e.

      looking at the place yesterday the windows were all still covered. I think the Abbey is going to give the Wash Sq. Tavern a run for their money.

              Went for drinks last Sat. and liked the vibe that night - mostly 30s/40s. The place was full but seats were available to relax.

          Went to the Abbey last week. The menu is so similar to Washington Tavern - since the chef was there I guess it isn't surprising, but I feel sort of bad for the Tavern which has been such a terrific place for so long. To have the competition so close. . .

          I had the bison bolognese, which I was so sad wasn't on the menu at the Tavern anymore. It was one of my favorite dishes. Hope both places do well - Josh is a terrific cook.
