Family Friendly in Ottawa

Visiting the city this weekend and am looking for some rec's for good places that are family/kid friendly. I have read a couple of the threads about Ottawa and they sound great but they may be beyond my nine year old. Brew Pubs? Family Dinners? Pubs?.

Most of the places in the Glebe are family-friendly. Ditto the Asian restaurants further up Bank St. Friends of mine have been taking their kids to a mom-and-pop Thai place near Somerset since they were toddlers.

The Manx on Elgin is pretty kid friendly and they have great food. It gets pretty busy so go early or prepare to wait (it is worth sticking around for).

We had our 1 year old out and about with us in Ottawa recently. The Royal Oak (apparently a local chain) was pretty much a pub, with decent food. We were at the location near Hunt Club Drive and Uplands, but there are others.

Also felt that Works was a decent chain - again, we were at the location off Hunt Club Drive, on Bank. Lotsa burger variety, and I am SO going to try their milkshakes next time. That was about all the eating out we did, though. Well, aside from multiple instances of Ikea cinnamon rolls... :-)
