St. Louis: Chesterfield Area
A fun, casual lunch spot is Surf Dog off of Long Road. Also, I love Thai Sawadee on Olive in the Schnucks (a local grocery store) plaza, west of 40. Their curries are very good, and they have a beef dish (Nam Tok Beef) that is tart and spicy and just plain delicious.

Depending upon what you're used to (e.g., if you're from Chicago or LA), it may not be such a big deal to get on a highway and go east where there are far more selections available. It will only take you 20 minutes or less to get to the central part of the area. If that's acceptable to you, then check out earlier threads covering Clayton, the Central West End, and other more eastern spots. BTW, please ignore the "Balaban's" shown on the map at right as "B". That location, which was the longtime home of the former Balaban's, now houses an inferior restaurant. The one FOTD is referring to is Balaban's Tapas and Wine Bar, which is on Clarkson in Chesterfield.
