Hot dogs in Bmore
I'm writing an article for B Free Daily about hot dogs in Baltimore. I have to pick 5 or 6 places. I currently have Ann's, Haute Dog Cart, G & A, Weenie World, and Stuggy's. Are there any places that any of you think needs some serious consideration that is not on this list? I'm sure there is a place I haven't heard of. Thanks ahead of time.

When you get well, go to Polock Johnny's. Get a large Polish with their signature sauce and another with chili/cheese/onions. They have good hotdogs, too, but why bother when you can have a pair these beauties? You'll be throwing rocks at Nathan's. I prefer the location at Caton Ave. and US1.

I love Pollack Johnnies, but for a nice Polish, not necessarily a hot dog.
Tourettes, how can you forget Konstant's in the Lexington Market. Hot dogs and coffee, the breakfast of champions on the westside. The Konstant's all beef with everything (chili, onion and mustard) is the standard barer for the grab and go hot dog in the city.

Zack's Has 4 locations in MD and 2 in Michigan.
I was thinking about Pollack Johnny's. I'm pretty sure they are only down to the one place on Washington Blvd., but it's worth checking out. I havent had a dog from them in years.
Aub- The Haute Dog Carte has a revolving dog featuring Binkert's dog. It will be interesting to see what they do with them since they are so good just by themselves.

re: Tourettes
OK, the official spelling is Polock Johnny's, and there are three locations:
Lexington Market
Washington and Caton
Security Square MallOh, and I checked out haute dog and they had a Binkert's Brat braising in some Sauerkraut. I opted for a different sausage, but it did sound tempting...

It Would still have to be in the state. As long as it's not too far from Baltimore City, then it's fine (we have readers in some of the surrounding counties). Isn't Zacks a chain? I would rather highlight small local businesses. I'll look for that hot dog truck though. There is another truck out by timonium called the wild dog. They move around a bit during the week so I might use them for an article we'll have in the future on mobile food. I still would like to check them out though.

re: hon
I was just listening to my dad recount eating Attman's hot dogs wrapped in bologna decades ago. I told him I thought I'd read about their corned beef on here, but didn't know anything about the hot dogs. He was almost poetic about it-- he's going to be so excited that they're still selling those.

Given that your list so far indicates a rather loose interpretation of "in Baltimore" (within driving distance from Baltimore, maybe?), I'd add Zack's. If you want to stretch the boundaries, there are a couple of places in Hanover, PA specializing in variations on the "Texas Hot Dog" theme. I also recall there being a hot dog truck somewhere in the Glen Burnie area - I think in a church parking lot someplace. Perhaps somebody will recognize that vague description and post more details.
