Rehearsal dinner locale in downtown Cincinnati?

FoodieT Aug 29, 2010 07:16 PM

We're looking for a place in downtown Cincinnati (or Northern Kentucky) to host a rehearsal dinner for about 60-75 people. We'd like it to be within walking distance of the major hotels (either Marriott an Embassy on the Covington side or Hilton, Westin, etc. on Cincinnati side.) Any suggestions on a great restaurant that can accommodate that size group? I'm also willing to go with a fun caterer (i.e. Indian, burgers, etc.) that I can put up in a banquet space somewhere.

You might try Hoffbrau Haus in Newport in N.KY. The food is good and it's a festive atmosphere. I would have recommended Nicholson's but who knows what's going on with them at the moment.

In downtown Cincinnati, Nada might accommodate you but I don't know if it's big enough for 70. McCormick & Schmick also has a room, I think. Boi Na Braza or Nicholson's (when they get their liquor license back) might also work. None of those is cheap. Now, a fun alternative might be Skyline Chili -- I've seen them close down for private parties. And who can resist a cheese coney? In Covington, check with either Dee Felice or Chez Nora. Both are on Main Strasse, but that might be too far from the hotels.
