Is Corton really as good as it looks?

Paul Liebrandt seems like a genius in the kitchen, does the food live up to the hype?

I have heard that it has gone downhill a bit last year. Has anyone been recently?

i went in late august and it was as good as it has ever been. agree that the desserts aren't as strong as the savories, but the food is probably my favorite in manhattan.

I haven't been recently, but the two visits I had there did not impress me.

I think Corton is wonderful. Have had nothing but great experiences there. Give it a try.

i had a great meal at Corton. If i get meals like this consistently, I would consider it one of the top 5 restaurants in New York. My major disappointment was the very good but not outstanding desserts and there were too many of them.

granted there hasn't been much recent talk about corton.

I know its highly debated on this board...but there hasn't been much talk lately.

anyone know if the online menu is current/updated?
