ISO Chinese peach-shaped steamed buns
Hey Chowhounds!
I'm hosting a 60th birthday for my dad and am wondering if anyone knows where to order shou tao, those peach-shaped, pink-decorated steamed buns filled with a sweet paste.
I found some small, frozen ones at T&T, but if there's a place where I can get them fresh, I think those would probably taste better.
Downtown Chinatown would be best, but Scarborough (Midland and Sheppard area) is a possibility too, b/c that's where we're picking up the food on the day of.
Thanks for any help you can offer!

Have you considered going to a favourite Chinese bakery and asking them to prepare them? I too have seen them at T&T but I know that my aunt ordered them from a local Chinese bakery (not certain as to which one) and brought them to the restaurant.

Huh! I never considered that, silly me. Hmm. Do you know if your aunt ordered from downtown TO Chinatown? I haven't been in awhile, the two bakeries I can think of there are the one on Dundas (north side), just east of Spadina, and Kim Moon, way further down.
Any other suggestions?

re: TOjWo
There are many bakeries in the area:
Hong Kong Island Bakery (my favourite around here) @ spadina+st andrew
Ding Dong Pastries @ spadina+st andrew
Furama @ spadina+one block south of dundas
Kim Moon @ dundas+one block east of spadinaI feel like I'm missing one other bakery on dundas quite near kim moon with a name like "queen" or "princess"
