Palki - Decent Indian on Commercial Dr. Finally. (Vancouver)
If you had been following this thread http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/713923?tag=search_results;results_list , you will know that the old Lime space has been taken over by Palki. It is the second location of the well-regarded Indian restaurant in North Vancouver. (As an aside, the owners are the former operators of Dawat on Victoria Dr).
In the same same way Lime filled a gap for good sushi on the Drive, Palki is attempting to fill such a gap for decent Indian. I have only been there twice, but I like it already. The food is well executed and the service is warm and friendly. The place is professionally run (unlike all the other Indian restaurants on this strip). They also have a full bar and a proper bartender.
It's a great addition to the 'hood!

Thanks for this. My best friend who lives out in Maple Ridge loves Indian food and doesn't have much to choose from. I just told her next time she's in town I'd take her to House of Dosas (close to me), but...now I'm thinking this might be the choice!
