What the heck happened to Kam's

I had the surreal experience last week of being the only occupied table in Kam's at 6:00 on a Wednesday night. Can you imagine? I felt it might be a sign of the end of the world.

No "Mr. Kam". Bleh service. Bleh food. None of the vibe that made it my favourite cheap and cheerful fallback place on Davie.

Does anyone know what happened?

  1. That is sad to hear. I was out with a couple of Hounds who were lamenting the dearth of Singaporean offerings here.

There is a Singaporean restaurant in Richmond that has been there for a while ... if I remember correctly they have one of the best Hainanese Chicken in YVR. It is on Cambie(?) road right before the turnoff towards where you go to Oak St. Bridge. There used to be a 7-11 by the corner but now it is occupied by a hi-so Japanese restaurant.
