Dinner in Holland, MI?
I will be in Holland for a week this fall. We will be ddriving an antique car, so will be somewhat limited as to how far afield we can go. That said, where can we go for great food?

We ate at Beechwood Inn last year. Everything was delicious.

I know this is a bit late....
Has anyone tried Blue House Bistro? I ate there a while back...Amazing. The place is kinda small though.
Everyday People is good, a bit far. Im not much a fan of douglas in general. Although it has better parking than saugatuck!
I have to say that I think perredies is over rated. Maybe i'm just ordering the wrong things.

I've had several very nice Italian dinners at Periddes in downtown Holland.

I have to add my vote to the best restaurant in the area being Everyday People in Douglas. Was there late August and the service, atmosphere, to say nothing of the creative cooking is second to none. Try to get there!

In my opinion the best food in the area is at Everyday People Cafe, which is located in nearby Douglas. I'm not sure if that's outside of your travel radius, but a trip down to Saugatuck to poke around the shops and dinner at EPC would be a great day.
There's buzz about Salt of the Earth, but the meal I had didn't wow me. Good, certainly, but not as good as I was expecting. Maybe I had set my expectations too high? Also a bit a of a drive outside of Holland.
In downtown Holland, Butch's is a nice option for an upscale meal, although I think it's a bit pricey for the quality. If you're a craft beer enthusiast, New Holland Brewing Company is a must; the barrel-aged Dragon's Milk ale is my favorite. Note that the food at New Holland is just OK--decent pub grub.
For breakfast, head to the north side of town and go to deBoer Bakkerij & Dutch Brothers Restaurant on Douglas. I love the Hippy Hash, but everything is great. Get a grilled sugar bread on the side, oh, and a pig in the blanket, too. Also on the north side, there's a pretty good Thai place, Thai Palace on Butternut drive.

I agree!

Another very apt description IMHO.
