Depends on what you want. Everyone likes Poor Boys for steak and bucket of salad. When we used to live in Gillette and went to "town" in Casper, we used to eat at Dsasumo for thai and sushi. For breakfast- Eggingtons is the way to go.

What are your tags for? Good luck hunting.

wow that was a fast reply. tags are for antelope and mule deer. we want a good atmosphere where maybe steaks chops would be good. half decent wine wouldn't hurt. I know its not Jackson so my expectations are not real high. also how about a good bar after for a drink. thanks

I can't help too much with that because Casper was usually a day trip and we went home after dinner. I texted some friends and here are some rec. I can't make guarantees on this. Vintage is wine and martinis. Sidelines is typical Wyoming style bar with pool table and becomes clubbish at night. I know personally that Dsasumo has a nice bar but I don't know about the drinks. If you are staying in Casper for the night. I would avoid like the plague the Parkway Plaza.

I miss seeing the pronghorn. I hate deer. They are the biggest road hazard in Wyoming especially driving at dusk.

I grew up in Casper but have only been there 3 times in the last 5 years. My brother likes the food at FireRock Steakhouse and Grill. Their website is still under construction but the address is 6100 East 2nd Street, Casper, WY 82609-4316 (307) 234-2333. He said the food is very good.

The bar of my college years (many years ago) was The Wonder Bar on Center Street. I know it is still there but I think it's more of a restaurant than an actual bar suitable for after dinner drinks.

      Good Luck!

I have been to the Wonder Bar and had a fun time there. I have heard of Firerock and will look into it as well as vintage bar thanks...
