Traditional Waffles in the Bay Area

I'm looking for a restaurant that serves a great traditional waffle - NOT a belgian waffle - and really good coffee to go with it. Any ideas would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Ole's Waffles Shop in Alameda is the only traditional waffle that comes to mind. Not real maple syrup nor great coffee but a good waffle.

I have a traditional buttermilk waffle every Sunday at Home Plate on Lombard between Steiner and Pierce.

It's been a while since i've had one, but Water Street Bistro in Petaluma made a very nice old-fashioned waffle that i reported on a few years ago.

It's been a while since I've been there but the waffles at It's Tops (1801 Market St) were very good.

In Oakland, Mama's makes a great traditional waffle, with or without pecans. The waffles at Brown Sugar Kitchen are also very good -- a bit of cornmeal in them but otherwise traditional. And the House of Chicken and Waffles serves a traditional waffle without chicken if you so desire.
