Tapas and/or Wine Bar Recs Wanted for Savannah

sweet_polly Aug 26, 2010 05:12 PM

Anything worthwhile? Jazz'd looks interesting (although it looks like they allow smoking, which is kind of a turnoff)...can anyone provide first-hand feedback? How about wine bars? I mostly interested in places within walking distance of the historic district. TIA!

Thanks, guys! Circa 1875, Sugar Daddy's and Bacchus all sound right up my alley...especially Circa 1875 (I just checked out their menu online).

Is Baccus walkable from the historic district?

Also, do you know of any places that are open on Thanksgiving day?

Bacchus is another option. No food, just wines, beers, and whiskeys. Not open on Sundays.

The Mansion has a very nice wine bar. It is on Drayton across the street from Forsyth Park. Circa 1875 is also good--not really a wine bar, but good wines and good food. Never been to Jazz'd, their offerings are more like small plates, not traditional tapas. Sugar Daddy's also does small plates downtown.
