Early Le Bernardin dinner before 8pm show at Shubert?

I've got tickets to see Memphis at the Shubert Theater for an 8pm performance on a Friday. Le Bernardin is not far from the theater and so I was thinking I could do an early dinner there, maybe 5:30pm, before the show. Do you think I'd have enough time to have an enjoyable dinner and then walk over to the Shubert? Or would I feel rushed to make my 8pm show time? If that's cutting it too close, what are some other great options (maybe Gilt or Marea?) near the Shubert? Thanks!

Le Bernardin is a restaurant to be enjoyed without having to look at your watch. It is truly one of New York's great restaurants and you need to devote an evening o it.

I agree, you really want to "dine" at Le Bernadin and enjoy the total experience.

I was teh plumbing contractor who built the place.....after 20 years I still enjoy it there as a destination for a special meal....If you are looking for something different before a show...try the Stage Deli
