Asian Cuisine in Brooklyn

I'm looking for some good (but very high end or fancy) asian restaurants near Prospect park, park slope, Wiliiamsburgh or Brighton beach area. Any type of Asian (Malaysian, Thai, Japanese, Chinese) is fine. Even a good dim sum place would be good for us.

Thank you so much for your help. It will be my first time in Brooklyn

  1. Most Asian food is much better in Queens. Malaysian - Taste Good Thai - Sripraphai Chinese and dim sum - too many to mention.

As for Japanese, Brooklyn has an edge. Zenkichi in Williamsburgh is beautiful and the food is excellent. Blue Ribbon Sushi in Park Slope has delicious sushi in their Blue Ribbon Special. Their steak and lobster royale is wonderful and a good portion for a hungry person.

    1. Wow- don't let anyone tell you that there isn't great Asian food in Brooklyn! For Japanese try Geido, Flatbush Ave & 7th Ave. In Brooklyn Chinatown (8th Ave between 42nd & 68th St) try New Belechan Restaurant for Malaysian, and one of my absolute favorite dim sum restaurants is King Star Restaurant at 6022 Eighth Ave. Food is great, staff is friendly and fast. Good luck.

      1. Brooklyn's Chinatown isn't well known, but it's wonderful.

Try Pacificana for dim sum. http://www.sunset-park.com/mall/PACIF...

It's very good food (don't miss the soup dumplings) and the atmosphere is also very nice.

Pacificana is about the most high end asian in Brooklyn. In addition to Dim Sum, they have a full Cantonese (with real Cantonese in addition to some Chinese American dishes) menu.
