Restaurant decisions for dinner on a Friday and a Saturday

My husband and I will be visiting Montreal for the first time next week. Our hotel concierge was able to get us a reservation at Au Pied de Cochon at 5 pm on Friday and at Garde Manger at 6:30 pm sitting at the bar on Saturday. He said that he could get us better seating times at Le Club Chasse et Peche and at La Salle a Manger. Would love to know what the locals would recommend for dinner on these two nights. Through Opentable, I also have dinners booked at DNA and at Joe Beef to play it safe. Break down below. Would greatly appreciate any advice!

Friday options
Au Pied de Cochon at 5 pm
DNA at 6:30 pm
Le Club Chasse et Peche (time tbd)

Saturday options
Garde Manger at 6:30 pm (seated at the bar)
Joe Beef at 6 pm
La Salle a Manger (time tbd)

  1. There's a lot of food in there...

    I'd do :
Fri: Le Club Chasse et Peche. or DNA.
    Sat: La Salle à Manger.

    1. We'll eat a bit later in Montreal than in the rest of North America. Those seating times are probably the earliest possible. I think you'd get the most out of the atmosphere a resto has to offer at about 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays. That being said, all the options you're currently looking at are awesome, can't go wrong.

      1. One thing to mention is that the bar at Garde Manger is a bar whereas the bar at APDC overlooks the kitchen and is therefore very popular with chowhounds. I have eaten at both bars and even though I prefer the food at Garde Manger (it's just more my type of food) I have to say that sitting at the bar at APDC is really something. If you decide to go there, just make sure they don't seat you in the area overlooking the actual bar.
