Family-friendly seafood in Escondido/Carlsbad area?

Hello.
I'll be a tourist in a few weeks time, traveling with my parents, my almost 3 year old boy who hasn't liked fish, and my four year old niece who happily devours almost any kind of fish she is offered. My parents and I are looking to get some suggestions on what might please all of us. The three adults on this trip will try anything, and our entree price range is like $15 or so. Hopefully the kind of place that doesn't require a reservation, and recommendations of specific dishes to try are appreciated.
What comes to mind? Thank you in advance!

Fish House Vera Cruz in Carlsbad. Just pick any grilled fish from the fresh-daily menu, and you should be happy.

King's Fish House in Carlsbad is kid friendly and have had some good meals there.

Fish House Vera Cruz is excellent but, forget a $15. per entree.

There's a Fish House Vera Cruz in San Marcos, too, which is pretty much right in the middle between Escondido and Carlsbad. Also, the Brigantine in Escondido is somewhat kid-friendly (though King's Fish House is much moreso). At the Brig, I order the fish tacos off the happy hour menu for my 5-year old (and also for myself) and they are a hit.
