Tired of Pepe's/Flo's...need a new Recc for lunch on the way up to Ogunquit from NYC?
Usually my husband starves me until we get to Flo's and then I gorge on the dogs which are yummy but I'm tired of them. Sometimes we grab a clam pie at Pepe's.
How about somewhere around the two hour mark? Not too far off the highway,
Any temples of extreme deliciousness I should not miss?
Thanks,
lisa

Super Duper Weenie in Fairfield, CT (the Chicago dog is fantastic), Louis Lunch in New Haven, CT (the birthplace of the burger), Teds Steamed Cheeseburgers in Meriden, CT, Woody's dogs in Hartford, CT, Georges Coney Island in Worcester, MA. In Ogunquit, we like the Oarweed and MC (owned by the same people that own Arrows) in Perkins cove. Friends of ours ate at Arrows and said it was the best meal of their life.

How could you get tired of Pepe's clam pies? Just beyond Flo's, there's the Jamaican Jerk Center which is take-out only (like Flo's) and serves up some authentic fair. I personally think Flo's is overated. If you really want great dogs go to the place on the Bridgeport/Fairfield line "Super Duper Weenie" off 95.
