A funny experience with good food for 10 coworkers wishing a bachelor off to his wedding

Were a mixed bunch, mixed genders & cultures but we all like good food. We have some vegetarians too. Were in an age range from middle 20's to early 40's. We are open minded and like to laugh and have a good time together. Many of the team aren't from SF or the bay area or, even the US, so something thats unique to SF would be great. Around 100$ pp. In SF proper would be best.

To get an idea of where the thinking started, a tacky stripper club for maximum "horrification" morphed into AsiaSF for more gender-bending-funny-embarrassment for the bachelor. Neither really fits the bill for good food.

suggestions?

I'm not sure a bachelor party of 10 guys will be comfortable snuggled together on mattresses for the evening! (You recline "Roman style" on platform beds to eat (off bed trays) and watch the show.) The entertainment swings from lame (a raunchy guy in a raggedy-a$$ sparkly bunny suit sitting on the mattresses with you and being "outrageous") to graphic (guests having sex on the tables in the center of the room -- I heard about this incident from an employee of the club).

hehehe-yes I think the mattresses and roman style might not play out so well with this mixed group.TY for the advice!

          1. Marrakech. The food's decent, and there's a show. I can't think of any indian or thai places with any outragousness. I think this is kind of lame though. Food's only OK and belly dancing is just not my idea of outrageous.

          2. Music, no "show", would be Yoshi's. They do a lot of different kinds of jazz, but its of very fine quality, and the food is pretty good. Not exactly default spicy though.

          3. Look at what is on @ the Great American Music Hall. Once a month or so they do burlesque shows, and they have edible food (not great, very much not spicy).

          4. THIS IS THE RIGHT ANSWER. I think you'll have the best time if you split this up. Spicy food and show don't go together. Mitchell Brothers is the highest end - by which I mean the place is clean and reasonable and fun - club in town. Board favorite Lers Ros Thai is a block away - spicy and tasty. Finish dinner there, whip out a blindfold, and lead him over. Pagolac is also within a block, which is a little more "interesting". Further - turtle tower, all of the Tandoorloin. One of the tandoorloin places - I remember Melanie liked it - is more sit down than the others.

Citizen Band is near Asia SF if you wanted do drinks at Asia SF and then walk down there and is high on my list of things to try. It would be under your pp charge, but with drinks et al at Asia SF it might come right in on budget.

Thanks! Unfortunately I think this pack wants something, probably not American comfort food to eat. We mostly go out for Indian, Thai, VIetnamese, Burmese, Schezhuan, Mexican, etc. We all default to spicy :)

Are you still hoping/planning for a show somewhere either with dinner or near it?
Does the restaurant need to have a full bar (something I think about when bachelor party type activities are involved)?

Doesn't have to be a "show" but some place that has some "entertainment" value be it people, mummers, shenanigan makers, environmental weirdness, etc.

Doesn't have to be a full bar.
