Twisted Lemon Cayuga
I've searched here and can't find anyone else who has been to the Twisted Lemon in Cayuga. Run by two who worked at high end in Oakville/Burlington at the very least. Am I the only one? I know they are/were part of Adjey's new "The Opener" series on the Food Network their episode is set to air September 14th but has nobody else eaten there yet? Once I figure out how to post a picture I will post one of the appetizer platter they did up for a girlfriend and me, by far the best foie gras I have ever had, including the Blacktree (sorry Matteo, it was close).

I had dinner there a couple of weeks ago and was quite impressed. I was fortunate to get a seat next to the open kitchen and it was quite interesting to watch the cooking. The servers were very friendly and pointed out various dishes as they were being finalized. The food itself was great. I started with bruschetta "North and South'" (mozzarella, wild mushrooms, herbs and tomato, basil, oregano) - nice to have the variety. I followed this with Ahi tuna with an inspired grape - caper salsa. Chef Dan Megna, a really nice guy, explained how he had stumbled upon the salsa by accident. I finished with a very fudgey chocolate pate and an excellent cappuccino that they whipped up in the kitchen for me (they have no cappuccino maker). I'll definitely be back.
Really? Foie gras better than Matteo's? Another reason to go back!
We were also quite impressed. We went on 'date nite' (Tuesday) and had a wonderful tasting menu with appropriate wine pairing., seated next to the open kitchen. There was also a Steak and Beer cooking class going on at the same time. Very friendly staff, all passioned about the food they serve. The food was exceptional, and lots of it too! (maybe a bit too much for my taste). A return trip is planned during summer vacation.
