Hi everyone, I'm taking my mom out Sunday (yes I know last minute request) for her 80th birthday and am interested in (fine) outdoor dining. I recently attended a reception at RCYC and thot the atmosphere quite nice, altho the food not so much. Not interested in club land or anything swanky. Something with good service where servers will fuss over her.
Any all suggestions much appreciated

Haven't been for a long time, but Il Posto has a nice courtyard setting in Hazelton Lanes, and they are open Sundays. Online reservations can be made through www.opentable.com http://www.ilposto.ca/home.html

    Second Le Select.

Le Paradis also has some patio seating, and they are open on Sundays. I wasn't fond of the food when I dined there last year, but plenty of Chowhounds on this Board like it.

Le Select has a nice front patio and they are open on Sundays. Service is professional, but it's not crumb-scrape-y or fawn-y.

Biagio? It is an elegant patio with elegant food. Not sure if it's open on Sunday, though.

I'm having a tough time thinking of restaurants open on Sunday with patios...

If it doesn't absolutely have to be Sunday, you can't go wrong with Auberge du Pommier. Beautiful patio, impeccable service, fantastic food.

Earth, on Yonge at Roxborough, has a couple of patios, which are private and nicely shaded in places.
