Jerusalem Garden Cafe in Asheville

Any thoughts/opinions on the Jerusalem Garden Cafe in Asheville? I've been craving Greek food and thinking of trying the restaurant.

  1. food is ok; not great, not bad. fun place on a fri/sat when they have the belly dancer & musicians. we go once or twice a year.

haven't found any really good greek food here. not impressed by pomodoros at all. 3 brothers is equally "meh". have had some really good stuff at the greek festival (although it can be inconsistent, at the very least it's fun to go to), which should be coming up in the next 4-6 weeks. greek church also does periodic sunday dinners (mother's day for sure), which are tasty. have heard stony knob has good greek/greek-influenced food, but i haven't been there in years.

ya, I was going to suggest the Greek festivals too. I was VERY mad that I missed the one in Greenville this year (usually around May I think?). That one is GREAT and a model of efficiency. It is mobbed every year. Good to know I can still make the AVL one! Will keep an eye out.

I didn't think Jerusalem Garden really focused on greek? We tried to eat there once a few years ago. Got seated outside and was completely ignored (not even a menu or glass of water). We left after about 15 minutes, but it does look like fun inside and would like to give it a second chance.

    2. The food is good but $$
