Hi Hounds, you all never disappoint, so here's my request. We recently were weekend guests of some folks from Frederick, MD. I'd like to include a gift certificate to a restaurant in the greater Frederick area in my thank you note. These folks are active retirees who eat well. Any recs are gratefully appreciated!

Depends on how much you want to give.

      High end - Volt
      Mid-range - Isabellas

Monocacy Crossing or the Tasting Room?

Can't go wrong with Tasting Room or Monocacy Crossing. Lotta bang for the buck. Tasting Room has a better wine selection.

I'd say Volt as well. If they're retirees, they could do well (even with a smaller gift certificate) for Volt's prix fixe lunch. It's cheaper than dinner by far, and easier to get reservations.

Fredrick sells these downtown fredick giftcards at the vistors office or online. They can be used at any of the restaurants mentioned as well as many others and shops. We have been given them a couple of times and they are great. with so many good places it nice to have options.
