Sandwich shop/market in Florence.

Hello all, I have been researching places to eat for our 2 week honeymoon.. by searching the boards of course!

I had found a couple of posts that mentioned a small sandwich/gourmet market type shop. It was supposed to be great for lunches. I lost it. I cannot find those posts anywhere!

If I recall correctly it was near where we are staying (near the Ponte Vecchio) and had a website/blog.

Does anyone have any idea of what place I may be talking about?

I appreciate any help!

EDIT: Found it!! It was called 'Ino. Anyone have any thoughts on this place?

  1. I'm not sure, but I would highly suggest Nerbone in the Mercado Centrale. You will want to try the panino con bollito and make sure they dip the bun in the juices. It's the best roast beef sandwich I've ever eaten and I've had them everywhere. I'd highly recommend you get their pesto on it too.

Enjoy. And pay attention to the posts about the Bisteca Florentine at Sostanza. They are spot on.

Thanks for the idea! I will add Nerbone to the list.

We plan on going to Sostanza for sure, it was highly recommended by a local friend before we started to research other spots.

I also found the place I was talking about just now. It was called 'Ino.

Does anyone have thoughts on this place?

I will update my post above.
