Girls Weekend in Rehoboth- Trip Recap

Hi all! Thanks for your help! I wanted to send a quick follow up with our thoughts of the weekend

Friday we ordered Grottos Pizza take out- 1 white pie & two regular. They were good, but not great. I just don't get the whole Grottos thing- neither did the others. It suited it's purpose, though!
Next we hit the Dogfish Brewery in Milford, while was a fun time. We got to try four generous beer sample and really enjoyed them. My surprise favorite was the stout.
For dinner we headed into town and ended up at Go Fish, near the boardwalk. It was really good! They split our large group into 2 tables and were able to seat us right away. My whole table got the fish & chips, with me deviating slightly to get the fish & salad. The fish was perfectly crispy and not too greasy. my salad was tasty, but boring, and the cole slaw was good.
We ate breakfast at our condo and then headed our own ways for the day. My group tried out an Ice Cream shop whos name escapes me, but was really out of this world. it was near the boardwalk, just next to Thrashers Fries, and had 70 different types of homemade iced cream. I was really craving soft serve and went with the cappuccino soft serve. It was so good!
Dinner we followed a friends recommendation and went to Pig & Fish. This place was wonderful! Good service (slow, but good) and really great food. I ordered the seafood cavatappi, which was delicious. A ton of fresh seafood in a nice roasted tomato sauce. I also tried the chesapeake crab fondue, which was outstanding. My only complaint with the fondue was that you only get a few bread points and it's not nearly enough to accompany the amount of fondue given. We were given more bread upon request, but charged $.50 for it. I thought that was a little tacky.
Post dinner we followed our servers recs, combined with some from here and others, and headed to Conch Island (fun place to start the night). Next we looked for Mix, which we never found, and ended up at the Frog Pond where we did not feel welcome. We finished off the night at the Purple Parrot, which was so much fun and exactly what we were looking for.

  1. Thanks for this, jessicheese. It sounds like a fun weekend. I am so glad!
You probably had ice cream from Kohr Brothers. It is actually frozen custard and I agree, it is out of this world.

No; I've had Kohr's before and it is in fact very tasty. This was a local place and when I decided to stop being lazy and Google it I found the spot! The Iced Cream Shoppe on Rehoboth Ave

The Ice Cream Store is owned by the people who own the Peppers hot sauce shop on Rte 1 near Midway. They have earned some notoriety for their offbeat flavors such as Bacon and Booger. Fun place.

    2. Great reviews! I agree - we weren't impressed w/Grotto. Loved Dogfish and Pig & Fish (where our service was impeccable). Ice Cream shop is phenomenal! Can't wait to go back next summer to try more places:)

      1. I think Kohr Brothers when ice cream is mentioned around here! They don't have nearly that many flavors though.
