Hatch Chiles at Raley's in Merced (and elsewhere)
Raley's in Merced, and presumably elsewhere (a hound already posted a sighting in the bay area), has Hatch Chiles again. Big bin by the front door on the left facing in; $1.49 a pound. The checker says these are fairly mild and she expects the heat level to go up in next week's shipment.

Update: they are back again this year, and only 99 cents per pound...

Able to get a case thru our Albertsons (Buellton, Santa Barbara County) for $32.00....more than 1/2 way thru roasting them! My case is fairly HOT.
