I'm new to this site, its really confusing. DoI really ALWAYS have to click through the list to get to the region Im in? There is nothing local either. Is this just a site for long distance venues?
Is there an easier site ti use for finding ratings on local restaurants?

No. You can save the forum you normally browse and that will show under your saved boards.

You can also create a bookmark or favorite in your browser for the view of your regional forum, and that way that's where you will start when you use that bookmark/favorite to access Chowhound.

No, but it depends on users for its content. If you live in a town of 1,000 people, there might not be anything local because you may be the only user - in which case, you can create topics and posts to let others know what is in your town. If you live in a decent-sized city, there are probably already plenty of topics about it.

Have you tried using the search box at the top right of each page, to search for previous topics in your city?
