Lacroix's chef's table?

Can anyone comment on Lacroix's chef's table option? Better than the traditional tasting menu? Worth the money?

I haven't been for the chef's table, but I'm also not entire familiar with who the current chef is... if you just want to get in the kitchen and see the action, go for brunch!
