Assi Plaza for Central Montgomery County fruits and vegetables

Assi Plaza, 1222 Welsh Rd · North Wales. The best, and cheap. Huge variety. Also great selection of Asian vegetables. Warning: Once you try purple sweet potatoes, you can't go back to the orange ones.

It is a very fun and quality place to shop. We had a coupla chow hound meet ups in the food court awhile back. I miss the Yaki Bon hut though.
If you have dogs, the bark park is right there also so they can have fun as well.

OK I am in Assi at least twice a week and am baffled! What is the bark park? Can my puppy visit Assi? Where is it?

It took me forever to find it. I think they don't want the park to be overwhelmed. Drive to the right towards the korean barbecue restaurant where Cravings used to be and continue around to the parking lot in the very back. If you go during prime time you will see friendly people with dogs of all sizes coming and going. There are two parks, one for little dogs and one for dogs of all sizes.
Be sure to pick up a plastic bag from the dispenser on your way in. It is just two fenced in areas for dogs to run loose and socialize and play with other dogs. It feels a lot like a busy playground where parents have to intervene once in awhile when the kids play too rough. There are benches and picnic tables for the mommies and daddies to relax at.

I miss Yaki Bon as well, carbs. What a great deal. And remember the undulating fish flakes? Spooky food that was fun to watch and great to eat. I'm having the family in from NYC for a few days and it is on our agenda for clam bake shoppery.

He he! Good times that Chefpaulo! We were all having such a great time talking about food that when we watched in awe as the dish did a dance for us it was the only time our group was silent for a moment. Give us a report on the clam bake. Especially if you get an Elvis impersonator to perform at it. :) Sorry I have been in a very silly mood today. As I was reading your post I could just hear the King crooning "mama's little baby loves clambake clambake"
