Saturday in Rome

We have only 24 hours in Rome. Staying near the train station. Any suggestions for lunch or dinner in walking distance to our hotel?

Thank you for the suggestion. Do not know the distance from the train station to Spanish steps or other areas that might also be fun to try. Any help would be appreciated.

You can take city buses from the terminal right next to Termini to anywhere you want to go in Rome. The routes are not hard to figure out, but your chances of finding a bus terminal person who speaks English are low. There is a bus line that goes down Via Cavour but I'm not sure if it goes all the way down to the Roman Forum (from which you can also see the Colosseum).

The distances in Rome are not great. You can walk to the Spanish Steps from Termini, just not with a suitcase. "Near the train station" covers a lot of territory, so you should be more specific.
