Nijiya Market's Organic Farm

When I was in San Diego last weekend, I took a quick peak into the Nijiya Market on Convoy and learned that it offers produce from its own organic farm in Coronado. These snapshots show the organic mallow, bitter melon, okra, eggplants, and peppers.

I've not spent much time in our local branches of Nijiya. Do they also sell organic produce from Coronado?

  1. The San Mateo Nijiya market has some organic produce. I'm not sure if it's from Coronado, but I'd imagine so! In the late spring, they had seedlings/young plants to grow in your garden.

Thanks both of you. I'll have to make a point to visit a Nijiya store then.

    2. Pretty sure their Japanese sweet potatoes/purple yams are organic and from their farms. The seasonal Satsuma Imo is quite delicious. I believe the Japanese veg are from the farms too, like Komatsuna (Brassica rapa/Japanese Mustard Spinach) which is a personal favorite. The fruits are mostly not (my guess) and in most cases outrageously expensive.
