Hey all,

I recently moved to the Dunwoody area from New Orleans and am having a craving for a good roast beef poboy and New Orleans style food.

Are there any in the area?

Thanks!

Hi Lance. My husband and I are also from NOLA and have been living in Atlanta for over 12 years now. We have yet to find some really good New Orleans food in Atlanta. There is a new place that just opened in Roswell called North of NOLA. They have real New Orleans (Leidenheimer) french bread and they do have a Roast Beef Po Boy on their menu. We have not been there as of yet so I can't speak to the quality of the food. Tried to go this past Sunday but they were serving breakfast only. Good luck!!

The best in metro Atlanta is Gumbeaux's in downtown Douglasville and Henry's Louisiana Grill in downtown Acworth. More convenient for you is AJ's Famous Seafood and Poboys, 2100 Roswell Road, Marietta.

The place (North of New Orleans) in Roswell is a big disappointment. Went there once for a shrimp po' boy. It was terrible: bread was NOT NOLA quality nor was the fried shrimp. The dressing mediocre. Te best NOLA food in the ATL area is in Duluth. Check their website:
