Xmas dinner near Mission Bay?

My family will be coming into Mission Bay on Xmas day. I'd very much appreciate pointers to somewhere we can find Xmas dinner.

Ideally looking for something nice but not too crazy or challenging -- my brother will have his 4 and 7 year old children with him, and my parents will be there too -- everyone will have arrived from the east coast that day.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

While the suggestion for the Hotel Del is a very good one, if you need to stick with Mission Bay, then I suggest the Christmas Day brunch at the Catamaran Hotel in Pacific Beach. The hotel is RIGHT on the beach, and the food is pretty good. Kid friendly, and your parents will LOVE it. Last year the brunch ran from 11am to 3pm. More details here:

I really recommend The Hotel Del Coronado on Coronado Island, about 15- 20 minutes from your location. All their restaurants should be open Christmas Day with many price options including their wonderful buffet. Reservations are a must. They also will have ice skating and sleigh rides this year at this classic historic hotel.
