In need of recommendations for rehearsal dinner please! [Milwaukee]

Hi fellow 'hounds,

I live in Los Angeles and am planning a rehearsal dinner in Milwaukee for a wedding on 12/18/10.
We'll have about 30-40ppl and would like a nice restaurant that can do a pre-fix menu. We were originally looking at the Pfister hotel, but that might come in over budget. We're looking at anywhere from $50-65 per person (including drinks). I've heard L'Etoile is GREAT, but think that would be way over budget. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

L'Etoile is in Madison..about 70 miles west of Milwaukee imo too far for a rehearsal dinner if your venue is in Milwaukee.
The Hinterland Gastropub will work with you for a private dinner. They'll work with your price point and devise a menu for you.. They have a fantastic atmosphere and wonderful food.

Not to be too smarmy, but Suggestion #1 would be to put "Milwaukee" in the subject line of the post/thread so that those on this board in that area might know what area you're looking more closely at.
