We are heading up to the new MIM museum and are looking for lunch recommendations - there appear to be lots & lots of chain places nearby. Anything non-chain & tasty in the area?

MIM has an on-site restaurant that a respected local food writer recently praised on her blog. I plan to try it on my next visit.

If you prefer to eat off site, a few possibilities are the following:

Humble Pie --a second location of the popular pizzeria first established in Scottsdale is located on the west side of Tatum just north of the 101.

Pita Jungle -- local chain of Mediterranean restaurants. I really like PJ, although others on this board feel otherwise. Also on the west side of Tatum just north of the 101.

Tea Light Cafe -- casual Vietnamese place just over a mile east of MIM in the "Scottsdale" 101 shopping center. Good pho and bahn mi. Easy drive from MIM via Mayo Boulevard.
