Two dinners with two out-of-town foodies
I have two east coast friends with Chargers season tickets. Each year when they come to town, I take them out to a nice meal at a great restaurant. They are very well travelled and good restaurants are a big hobby of theirs. Past successes have included Cafe Chloe, Cowboy Star and The Linkery. They like meat. A lot. But meat-centric is not a requirement.
So I am now looking to plan a dinner with them on a Saturday evening in September and another in October and want to showcase two San Diego gems for them. Preferred locations are anywhere from downtown to mid-city. They will have to cab it from the Hilton Bayfront as I can't fit them in my MINI. :)
Suggestions for the best dining hits so we keep impressing these guys with San Diego's best dining options?

I'm going to go out on a thin limb here, even expect to potentially get flamed but, there's something they'll never get on the East Coast, fabulous marisco's as in Marisco's Godoy. I'd go and let the staff assist them with ordering some of the best marisco's this side of the border. OK flame me!
