Good Lobster near Tilton NH.
My husband and I are going up to Steele Hill Resorts sunday-Monday and I want to take him out for a good lobster dinner.
I am not looking for anything fancy at all, just a place that has good lobster! Maybe outdoor seating, but that would make or break my decission.
We would be willing to drive a little bit to get to a great resturant. We are from Mass so if we go on Monday it can be a little farther.
HAHAHA any help would be much appreciated!

I can't think of any place to recommend for you around Tilton if want a good traditional boiled/steamed lobster dinner.
As you drive through Concord, NH on the way to Tilton, I suggest Makris' Lobser house on the east side of Concord. Technically I think it's in Pembroke or Loudon, but the important point here is it's only 5 minutes from Hwy 93 in Concord, which is only 20 minutes before Tilton. (via route 393 east, then go north on rt 106 for 1/4 mile.) Really.... it is only 5 min off the highway in Concord.
They do lobster of all types well, and are one of the few places I can always count on to have large lobsters - I do a 4 or 5 pounder at least once a year and Weathervane, Newick's etc often do not have larger lobsters.
You can't go wrong at Makris in your quest for good lobster. They do have outdoor seating, but unfortunately the Sun/Mon weather report isn't looking conducive.
If you go, please post back and let me know if I was on the mark for you or not.

you can get nice view and outside dining and steamed lobster in Meredith at one of the Common Man Restaurants - can't recall the name, used to be Franken Sundae. I've had lousy luck with good service so I don't go but if outside dining and great view and lobster are it - you'll find it there. I think Steel Hill is between exit 20 and 23, Meredith has a lot to offer at exit 23.
Tilton is in the Lakes Region. I would suggest holding off on the lobster for the drive home. Take the scenic route down to the seacoast and find a lobster pound for lunch.
