Need Recommendations for Seattle to Hells Canyon/Snake River (Oregon & Idaho)
In dire need of recommendations for restaurants once we get out of Western Washington! We're not big slab of meat eaters, but do eat some meat and the occasional BBQ. Any ethnic is fine. Recommendations for grocery stores--especially if they have delis--also welcome as we'll be camping.
There's a tiny little town called Waitsburg that has an amazing restaurant called the Whoop'em Hollow Cafe - I drive an hour and a half to eat there all the time - they call it Southern Comfort Food, but they serve things like Sweet Potato Ravioli, Hibiscus infused Iced Tea and Guiness Sorbet with Ginger Snaps. Worth the stop.
Once you get over our way (in Clarkston, WA/Lewiston, ID at Hells Canyon) I suggest stopping at La Boheme for the best coffee in town. Macullen's Steak, Seafood and Spirit House does a very nice Salmon and Big John's Rib House has your BBQ! If you're looking for Pizza, there's a local favorite called Fazzari's.
If you make it up onto the Palouse, there is a fantastic fusion restaurant in Moscow called Sangria.
Let us know if we can help you find anything else near the North entrance to Hells Canyon, or just stop into the office when you get here!
