  1. At this time of night, that's not going to be possible.

Tomorrow, you might want to try calling a supermarket. They have been known to carry peaches in syrup and to offer delivery.

Actually, it wasn't for that time of the night...haha It was for the next day.
I have been calling supermarkets and nobody has canned peaches in syrup. I didn't think it would be so hard to find it. IGA has canned peaches in juice, but it's not the same, the recipe is going to taste different.
      Thanks for the reply!
Still I need some hel on that.

I was under the impression that the 'juice' was always some sort of syrup.

Fruit syrups are essentially juice with sugar added... Im pretty sure those are the only canned peaches Ive ever seen.

Agree - I think I've seen peaches in juice elsewhere but in Montreal they're harder to find - most are in syrup.

I'll go with the above. Usually, they are in syrup, not really juice unless they are the (Delmonte?) ones in a plastic jar (thinking of the one you can get at Costco).

I wouldn't put too much faith in the "expertise" of IGA employees. A large portion are teen students who don't actually cook.

Canned peaches come in syrup, juice or water. All in cans. The syrup is usually water and sugar. The juice is usually grape and/or pear from concentrate. The peaches in water are labelled as "No sugar added" and contain sucralose. I've been able to find all three in most grocery stores.
