New Food Court in Asia World
Went there this afternoon.
There is a Singapore/Malay style stall , Coconut Island.
Standard offerings of Hainanese Chicken rice, Roti Prata, etc.
The King's Noodles folks from Richardson has a store there too.
They sell shaved ice desserts. From the size of their stall, looks like we will be getting the same beef noodles too.
Korean counter tasted good, we tried that.
Some stalls are not opened yet.
Hope they get more of these opened around DFW.
We don't need more overpriced sit down restaurants where the tip itself can get you a meal.
yeah that's the one.
I popped in for lunch Saturday. It was moderately crowded but I managed to get food. The watermelon drink from the shaved ice place was pretty good, made with actual watermelon. The curry laksa was maybe mediocre, I probably wouldn't get it again. The pan fried pork dumplings were nothing special. Overall I wasn't too impressed, I'll continue to check it out though.
I agree with Luniz, I was not very impressed. Went for lunch today and had Fish Fragrant Eggplant, Dolsot Bibimbap, and a thai beef salad. Nothing was remarkable though I am intrigued by the Malaysian stall. Of course, I haven't really found/looked for the good Malaysian food in Dallas so that was the first time I saw Nasi Lemak or Mee Goreng on a menu since I was in Malaysia and that's why I was/am excited to try the place. On the whole, it's nice to have a real Asian food court but nothing was good enough to compel me to go back for seconds.
Also, Kings Noodle rocks! There were a few different Taiwanese places in the food court that I didn't get to try.
