French Pastries Downtown

Planning for a trip to Vancouver mid September. Have been able to figure out most of our eating plans from looking at all the threads. One thing DW always likes to know about is a good pastry shop both for morning quick eats and also for take back to hotel desserts especially macarons for when there isn't room for full desert at the restaurant. Any ideas? We will be staying at the Shangri La but will be moving around the city on our foodie pilgrimage. TIA.

  1. Thierry, will in close, but with an autumn opening, it will be touch n go

    1. Giovane, at the Fairmont Pacific Rim, has excellent pastries and desserts. A bit pricey though.

      1. Urban Tea has a pretty good and tasty selection of Macarons (not Pierre Hermes quality but better than Beard Papa) - entrance from Alberni or Georgia, between Thurlow and Burrard - half block from Shangri-La
