Sepal MIT Student Center
Anyone been to Sepal inside Lobdell? I was a huge fan of Sepal when they were in Watertown. All the food was really good, but the Shepard Falafel was soooo good. I tried Sepal at MIT only once when they opened in Lobdell, but it was fried early in the day and just not crispy and kind of dry. I was just crushed like a girlfriend cheated on me and never came back. But time heals all and I'm hungry, so...
An interesting fact is that Sepal started out at the location where Fordee's is now. There is falafel magic on that corner!
Yes, Sepal inside the Lobdell Student Center is reasonably good, and certainly reminds me of what they used to serve in Watertown. Their falafel is interesting, with a green color that comes from parsley (and perhaps mint?). I usually get it baked, rather than fried, but both have been good. They will put nice onions and a fiery harissa on the sandwich if you wish. They also have a nice selection of beverages (especially Vimto and their housemade tea) and some nice desserts.
I like the place, but if I didn't work at MIT I wouldn't make a special trip very often. While I would make the trip for Garlic 'n Lemons!
