Chicas, they are actually closed for renovations (I live nearby and pass le Verre Vole on my way to work). I can't remember the exact opening date, it was sometime in early September but can take a look and will let you know. For what it's worth, I love the Verre Vole. Coinstot Vino is also a good choice, which is in the Passages de Panorama.

One of the FAQ's we've failed to address is "How to contact places in August when they're closed."
The answer is bifold:
1 Generally speaking, French restos, save the most starred, don't have websites or if they do they are not updated - before you get all huffy, when did you update yours last?
2 French/Parisian restos don't leave messages on their answering machines that are holiday specific - before you get all huffy, when did you update yours last?.My rule in August is to have a list of places that I want to eat at and start calling at about 10:30 AM and keep calling until I score. But that's because I eat at new places. If you want to eat at "old" places, check the threads here or our blogs.
