any Ludington folks who can clarify the PM Steamers situation?

This was one of my all-time favorites years ago, with the amazing nutty walleye plus one of the Top Five Salads ever. In 2006 there was a similar but not-as-good walleye.

I made it back this month. Since walleye did not even have a logo suggesting it was a featured item I narrowed down the choice to trout and whitefish. The whitefish with "lemon-parsley compound butter," potatoes and spinach had good fish, good sauce and was a decent deal at $18.

And the whitefish dip was also impressive. So I felt no double whitefish remorse.

The ambience remains appealing for those into such things, with waterfront woodsiness.

I understand that I must review the PM Steamers of reality not the one of my 1990s memories...but, what's the deal with the mediocre iced tea? Why are so many restaurants serving Coke-colored ice tea when it should be more amber? It was like something out of the fountain.

And there seemed to be some confusion on the service side of things - not knowing who had which table and such, with strange timing of the food.

Can any locals provide more insight about this place?
