Stingers Sports Bar in Deal/Long Branch is a great family option

Loved it. The portions. The sports bar ambience. Kids felt grown up and loved the food, liked that the sodas that came with their kids' meals were served from the tap which they enjoyed watching. Prime Rib sub was huge, overstuffed and fattening. Duck spring rolls (you can order from the menu of Ocean 656, the restaurant that is attached to the sports bar) were good but pricey. Warm tollhouse cookie, ganache and ice cream were a great topper for all of us to share (even though the kids' meals did come with an ice cream dessert). Nice casual dinner (with Sports Center accompaniment for my boys) after a day at the beach. Oh, and for those who vacation in Deal: No wait to be seated as there is at Dougies. Better food, we thought.

Thanks for this info. Are kids allowed in the bar? What's the atmosphere/clientele like?

It's funny actually. The bar is quite prominent and a full square shape. Next to it are about 3 tall tables and tall chairs in that room. The next room over has regular tables and chairs and is part of Stingers. My kids preferred sitting in the tall chairs and wanted to watch the sports show which was on the tv over the bar. Was it a bit strange? Yes. It was only 6 (opening time) so I can't speak to what the crowd would be like later in the evening. There were 4 young guys playing darts and drinking beer on the other side of the bar. Other than that, it was just us. I would assume that the kids would not be welcomed at the bar itself and I would not want them to sit there anyway. They said that it does get crowded later at night in the summer months and during football season. I will also say that the bartenders/waiters were very friendly to my kids.
